OUR APPROACH

Welcoming:  While there are many Fitness Studios in town, at Center Strength we realize that your time is valuable and your health and safety paramount.   So for over 20 years, we’ve worked hard to create a studio experience with fitness class variety offered in an intimate, welcoming, safe and approachable environment no matter your experience or skill level.  To us, those are important ingredients to ensure you stick to your work out even when the initial motivation just isn’t quite there.

Small Class Sizes:  Some studios fit as many clients into their classes as possible.  We think workouts and wellness should be more individualized and the attention more personal.  At Center Strength, we focus on smaller groups and a more intimate experience. We offer private, semi-private (2 persons) pilates and gyrotonic as well as small group (4 to 8 persons) pilates equipment clases. No intimidation here!

Client Service Support:  We pride ourselves in our prompt and professional client service.  We work hard to help guide you through class scheduling, billing questions, and class offerings.  No waiting days to have your phone call or email returned.

OUR INSTRUCTORS

Rather than being wedded to one method of Pilates instruction, our instructors are trained in a variety of methodologies.  Our Pilates instructors are certified in Stott, Polestar, Classic and others.  This integrative, client-centric approach ensures your personal fitness needs and limitations are the primary focus of your sessions.  You won’t find a “one size fits all” methodology box.

Our instructors love what they do. And as many of them have been with Center Strength for over 15 years, they get to know our clients’ needs and goals. They work with runners, expectant mothers, golfers, weekend warriors and clients seeking rehabilitation and post-rehabilitation assistance, between the ages of 18 and 80.  Two of our instructors are licensed Physical Therapists.   Most others have extensive additional training and certifications.

OUR LOCATIONS

You won’t find us in a Strip Mall.  With our Studio located  on Old South Gaylord Street in East Washington Park, we think our charming neighborhood setting adds to the enjoyment of visiting our Studio..

We also think fitness is more than a workout.  Come visit our “new neighbor,” The Green Collective Wash Park, for healthy bite or beverage.  You can also shop for inspiring apparel, accessories and gifts at centered & STRONG, our Studio “boutique” offering inspiring apparel and accessories.  Located at 1025 S. Gaylord–just across the street from our Gaylord Studio location.
